Wizard Haunts To Visit 2009
Wizarding Haunts are open 9 am to 3 pm, but may be unattended during lunch
- Herbology Nursery:
- Professor Sprigg will introduce students to the joys of delving into the
secret realm of Mother Earth! Plants were an integral part of the Harry Potter
books and students can start their own garden by planting their own “Daisies”
which they can take home! Daisies were used as a potion ingredient to shrink
things which may come in handy in the Tri-Wizard games! Other plants mentioned in the Potter books were Cabbages that
Hagrid grew for the school; Ginger was used as a wit sharpening potion; Sage was used by Centaurs;
Holly and Maples were used to make wands. (sponsored by Bekah Kates)
- Divination Tent
- “Broaden your minds, my dears, and allow your eyes to see past the mundane” said
Professor Sibyll Trelawney. She was the Professor of Divination
in which she made several predictions - not all of which came
true. While Treelawney's used a crystal ball in her fortune-telling,
here you'll find our instructor practicing the art of reading tea
leaves. To the discerning eye, tea leaves will form symbols in the
cup. What will your reading reveal? Good fortune? Romance?
